About Me

Brief Bio

I'm an American citizen but have lived much of my life overseas. I've been living in Italy since 1991 - first in Milan and then, since 2003, in Lecco on Lake Como.

I came here because I married an Italian. We have one daughter, Rossella, born in 1989.

Fashion Statement

The Swatch shown below was my major fashion statement for several years, until (as you can see) I wore it out. The design isn't easy to understand at a casual glance, so people would ask me about it: "Is that a mermaid?"

"No," I would explain: "It's Eve, gathering apples." (As for the snake, take a close look at the strap...)

Experiment

Before you leave these portals
To meet less fortunate mortals,

I would give to you.
You all have learned reliance

In spite of philistine defiance,

Though interfering friends may frown.

At each attempt to hold you down.
