From the moment I saw the lake from the window of our train, I knew this was the highlight of the entire vacation, at least it was for me. We spent the day relaxing and taking in the most wonderful scenery I had seen. I know there are other lakes that are probably just as nice, and other towns that might be nicer, but for this first-timer I have to say that Varenna and Bellagio are tops. I wish I had the money to be able to afford a small cottage anywhere on this beautiful lake.
