My wife usually makes pizza as that is what my Mother used to do. This year we at left over lasagna and meat from the gravy that we had at Christmas as there were only two servings of lasagna left over as of tonight. I really enjoy your writing and hope that you had a very Happy New Year. Everyone was out on their balconies at the stroke of midnight, and so many sparklers and fireworks were going off that it seemed like a river of fire was rushing down the side of the building into the cortile. A river punctuated by falling washing machines and furniture, that is. It was exciting and scary and seemed all in all to be very unsafe.
