I just waited something like that for my other opinion/idea about this matter :-)

Firs of all what the article says is not new. Some ten years ago an imam from Torino said exactly the same things Abu Imad says in the cited article.

Summarizing a little bit they say something like that: we'll live here, we'll get citizenship, we'll procreate (a lot) more that native italian, we'll convert christian to islam, we'll became the majority (or at least the majority of the "active" people in politics) and with the democratic ways provided by italian laws and constitution we'll make Italy an islamic state.

You know what ? They are right!
If our beliefs, "faith" in those, our example won't change them, if we are passive (not in the fighting sense)...to put it a little strong if our way of life will be "weaker" they have all the right to do it!

I hope i made my idea clear even if my bad english is quite bad.

Speaking strictly for myself, I'm beginning to think that all religion should be outlawed, period. But I suppose that's not really practicable.

Should immigrants have to integrate? In a way it doesn't matter, because historically they DO integrate, as early as the first generation of kids to grow up in the new country. The process can be speeded up by ensuring that immigrant kids go to the same schools as everyone else. But then you get kids who are a different culture than their parents, which leads to conflict and sometimes even murder.

Well, i'm having some chat about that with my collegues at work... and we disagree a lot :-)
We agree about immigrants having to follow the laws of the state they are living, but we strongly disagree (and it's me against all) on the question if they HAVE to integrate with the culture of the host country (and maybe not only that but even religion).
I say that they could but don't have to.
Maybw it help to think about it from another point of view, would i drop my own culture/belief/religion if i go live somewhere very different from my own country ?
Ciao!
