I haven't followed the discussions in the different HP site... i just love to read HP fanfiction instead of watching tv ;-) About that... i know that many fanfic authors aren't good writers, and that several of them even write in poor english, but it is incredible how reading it improved my (poor) english, i had a english good enough to easily read all the technical books i need for work/leisure, but i also had very few non technical words in my dictionary. Maybe reading real english literature would be better... but reading fanfiction online is easy as i can do a right click on a word and translate it without dealing with a heavy, slow paper dictionary (i know, i could have done the same kind of reading at Project Gutemberg, but here it is where i i serendipitously found a strange .txt file with the first fanfiction i ever saw... and it was even a big contest winner and i was hooked!)
