Campo Imperatore is a large, flat valley in the middle of the Gran Sasso ("Big Rock") mountain range in Abruzzo, central Italy. During the summer herds of cattle, sheep, and horses are pastured here. In winter, it's a ski resort.
Looks kinda like Montana, doesn't it? As a matter of fact, many "spaghetti westerns" were filmed here. The scenery comes complete with cattle, horses, and sheep, brought here to graze during the warm months.
