I had never seen variegated roses before. And some of these plants are completely mysterious to me – never seen them anywhere in the world. Who needs a botanical garden? I can just visit my neighbors’ front yards!

I never wanted to plant azaleas in my own yard, because they only look good for about one week out of the year. But for that week – they’re spectacular!
