O Teatro Magico
The night of June 25th, Bruno took Teresa, Lynn, and me to see O Teatro Magico, a cross between a band and Cirque du Soleil. They were one of many groups in town for FISL because they release their music under a creative commons license – you can download it here.
As you can see in the above clip, there was plenty going on. Our toes kept tapping and our bodies swaying, although we’d already been on our feet most of the day working the Sun booth (my legs were very, very sore the next day).
OpenSolaris Installers at FISL 10
We decided at some point to document all the people who installed OpenSolaris at the Sun booth at FISL, but we did it with several different cameras. Here’s my collection of happy customers!
FISL, 2009
In June, 2009, I went to Porto Alegre, Brazil, to help staff a Sun booth (along with many other people, a bunch of whom became friends) at FISL, billed as the world’s largest open source conference.
Best Souvenir EVAH
I’m very proud of this: palestrante means speaker. FISL (this is the 10th edition) is one of the world’s largest open source conferences. The little orange button is important: PR stands for PRESIDENT. Which means I got to be one of the 300 people on the show floor when Brazil’s President Lula came to call, and was able to get pretty up close and personal among the mob. Video here.
